Porridge – a Classic Vegan Breakfast

A Fast and Simple Oats Muesli – Porridge 

I love this recipe, it has NO preparation what so ever and it is one of the best breakfast dishes I know.

A Fast and Simple Vegan Oats Muesli Breakfast

What you’ll need:

1½ cup fine oats (I used organic fine oats)

2½ cups boiling water

2½ tbsp. brown sugar

1 tbsp. rose water

2 tbsp. dried cranberries

1 tbsp. goji berries

½ tsp. desiccated coconut (coconut flakes)

Method

  1. Use a medium saucepan/soup put. Place oats in the saucepan, add the boiling water, rose water, brown sugar, cranberries and about a ½ tbsp. goji berries.
  2. Cook and Stir constantly for about 2-5 minutes, Once the porridge is “smoothing up” – it’s ready!

Topping: ½ tbsp. goji berries, a few cranberries and coconut flakes.

  1. Going to make this today! Will ease up a bit on the rosewater, as I find the kind I have to be VERY potent, and use blueberries and maybe dried cherries. Don’t think I have gojis at the moment. Thanks, this looks so delicious!
